We're seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer and Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team at Ashby. This role is crucial as we scale our operations and enhance our software solutions, which are used by top companies like Notion, Shopify, and Snowflake. Our ideal candidate is someone passionate about creating robust, scalable infrastructure that supports a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Engineering and Reliability

• Optimize our homegrown ultra-dynamic recruiting DSL-to-SQL compiler and develop tools for other developers.
• Establish automated security measures for the protection of customer data.
• Enhance feature deployment through canary deploys, gradual rollouts, and feature flags.
• Define Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and implement Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
• Ensure robust communication with external services through retries and circuit-breakers.
• Develop infrastructure to support an event-driven architecture and data warehouse.

Requirements

Technical Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in building and managing large-scale infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud services like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Ability to debug complex systems and manage security and database optimizations.
• Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, Apollo GraphQL, Postgres, and Redis is beneficial but not required.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a never-give-up attitude.
• Excellent communication skills and a preference for asynchronous work environments.
• Ability to manage projects independently and work collaboratively with a team.

Compensation

Salary Range: £130,000 - £190,000 per annum, depending on experience.
