Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure cloud solutions in collaboration with engineering and architecture teams.
• Execute cloud engineering tasks within agile sprints, utilizing best practices and templates.
• Develop new cloud environments for customers using native services from AWS or Azure.
• Build automated infrastructure, CI/CD processes, and supporting toolsets using fundamental architectural concepts and reusable components.
• Present technical solutions to diverse audiences, ensuring technical transparency and implementation success.
• Advise customer teams on technology options, best practices, and the value of cloud-native approaches.
• Represent Rackspace in customer projects, ensuring quality and effective implementation of cloud solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in leading complex cloud projects from conception to deployment.
• Strong expertise in the design, deployment, and operation of automated, secure, and stable cloud infrastructures (AWS or Azure).
• Excellent customer orientation with experience in provisioning, maintenance, and development of cloud-based systems.
• Ability to engage in technical discussions and make decisions on architectural and implementation levels.
• Application of automation principles within agile project methodologies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, particularly in German-speaking environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep experience with cloud-native architectures on AWS and/or Azure, including IaaS and PaaS.
• Experience developing CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Python, YAML, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting (e.g., Python, Go, JavaScript) within development or DevOps teams.
• Familiarity with common security concepts in the cloud (IAM, KMS, Key Vaults, role-based access control, etc.).
• Experience in enterprise-scale environments with direct customer contact.
• Ability to convey complex technical concepts understandably and act as a trusted advisor to customers.
